Here’s a little story about the JRBM state championships back on October 14, 2006
at Lake Stillhouse. The weather was cool and overcast with a breeze. The fishing
was tough but productive. We had a total of 47 young contestants from all over the
state come to compete. They came from as far as Claude Texas, up by Amarillo. First place 15 to 18 year old was Cody Floyd with 5 fish at 14.70 pounds

Second place for the same age group was Taylor Steward with
3 fish weighing in at 9.89 pounds:

Our third place winner was last years State Champion, Blaze Platt
with a full bag of 5 fish weighing in at 9.10 pounds:

First place for the 11 to 14 year old group was Austin Adkins with a
full bag of 5 fish weighing in at a whopping 12.34 pounds:

Second place was taken by Dustin Rhoden Moreno with
3 fish weighing in at 7.95 pounds:

Third place was Zack Colosky with 4 fish weighing in at 5.78 pounds:

First place for the 7 to 10 year old kids was Dillon Harrell with
3 fish weighing in at 6.31 pounds:

Second place, reeling from San Angelo, was Chase Smith with 1 fish weighing in at .91 pounds:

For the hard fought third place position was Chases’ cousin
Brett Smith with .44 pounds:

For the most variety and first place in the 3 to 6 year old was Logan O’Dell with more fish then I cared to count and a total stringer of 6.45 pounds:

Second place with 1 bass and a whopper at 2.27 pounds was
Eli Ridge in the 3 to 6 year old group:

Third place was won by a future W.B.T. contender named Lainie Loving
with a bass bigger then I could catch at 1.85 pounds in the 3 to 6 year olds:

   Robin Kolton and Kandie Candelaria of the W.B.T. better hold on because this young lady is hot and wants to WIN BIG!!! By the way, thanks for ALL ya’lls help too.
